Here, I'll show you a mind-reading trick. Think of a number between 1 and 3.

You May Have Difficulty Leaving Comments...

My apologies for the inconvenience, but I've implemented a "gibberish filter" on my comment system. It's inspired by a similar filter (I believe it's called the bogo-filter?) on Slashdot. I've been plagued by what I'll call the "alphabet soup spammer", posting nonsense strings of letters in comments.

You might ask, "How can this be? Past that CAPTCHA we have to deal with?" Well, even the best CAPTCHA is not foolproof.

Anyway, if you get a gibberish filter error message, just go back and re-word your post. Go for normal English, normal HTML tags as given in allowed tags, etc. This thing is bordering on shaky AI, and I'm flat out positive it will show bugs and failures in edge cases. Right now, I have no idea how things like program code and ASCII art (two things I encourage in comments!) will get through. It's a work in progress. Other solutions may be discovered. If you see strange comments pop up and disappear, that's me testing it.
