Frozen Bubble is the Open Source Bubble Bobble clone you've been hearing so much about. This game comes standard on many Linux distributions. Like all good games, it's concept is simple: group three of any color bubbles together to knock down that group and all the bubbles that are hanging from it. It is done in SDL with 2D graphics, so it runs smoothly on every machine I've ever tried it on. The music and sounds are pleasant, and it comes with a horde of levels and a level editor which is very intuitive.

Thinking it's a Puzzle Bobble clone, not a Bubble Bobble clone. Bubble Bobble was a platform game.
